We’ve dined with Antonella and Luke 4 times now, and each time has been a beautiful and memorable experience. With my recent coeliac diagnosis, it has been easy for Luke to adjust the menu as there is hardly any gluten to begin with, but we so appreciated the attention to detail and the thorough decontamination of the kitchen. Passion and dedication run through everything these two do. An unexpected gift of their persimmon Kimchi, was eaten the next day, savouring the exquisite flavours…. Foraging, fermentation and the best ingredients lie at the heart of this experience. And of course, they are dog friendly! Extra nice to treat our beautiful friend to this experience…. See you soon

Just amazing! Food was super tasty and the service was brilliant. When they say dog friendly, they really mean it! Our little sausage was treated so well, even when she decided to take a wander! We had the sushi and ramen tasting menu and every dish was well thought out and nicely presented. The sake was outstanding. Can't wait to go back. We even had an extra dog at some point when chips needed some cuddles! There would have been more photos but completely forgot to take them before tucking in!

On a holiday to Wales, I was looking for a vegan restaurant. I saw that the Foxglove was nearby and had incredible reviews, and I knew I had to visit. I am so glad the reviews were right, as I cannot explain how amazing my experience at the Foxglove was. This unassuming small and cozy restaurant is run by the lovely owners, Antonella and Luke. They forage and create an amazing 5-course tasting menu that changes weekly. Each course came out looking beautiful and so interesting and Antonella explained what each component was. I was fascinated and so impressed by the details. I have never had anything quite like it, and in an age of faux meat, the ingredients did all the talking. Luke, the chef, was so humble in his creations. He worked in a Michelin-starred restaurant, and this showed by the standard of food. It was a fine dining meal but with the ambiance of eating at your friend's house. As a vegan of 5 years, this was one of the best meals I have ever had. Everything, for me, was perfect, and I am very grateful to have found this restaurant. I am just so sad that I live five hours away, but I will definitely come back again. Thank you again Antonella and Luke, Michelle and Neil

We visited Foxglove because it has consistent five star ratings and we figured it MUST be good. It is. Very much so. Five flavoursome courses, fascinating foraging knowledge, and a fine selection of drinks. Craft beer, a good wine list, and even a rare sake. Are you vegan? No? It doesn't't matter. It's delicious - don't sweat it. It's £55 and it's a great experience. Have I tried Reindeer moss before? No. Have I had walnut vinegar caviar? No. Have I had morell mushroms with a japanese broth? No, but now I have and it was all very good and I'm delighted we came. If you want to leave a restaurant feeling stuffed and full to the brim, you won't get that here. However, if you want a meal that delights customers with good flavours, unusual ingredients, careful presentation and preparation, and owners who make you feel incredibly welcome, this is the place for you. In short, go to Foxglove. You won't regret it.

We had a beautiful meal here - delicious, intricate dishes filled with local ingredients I've never heard of, never mind tried before. Such attention to detail in the food and in Antonella's presentation of each plate. The restaurant itself is very cosy and welcoming. A memorable experience!

Came here with my partner and had a really lovely experience. The restaurant had unfortunately had some issues with a break in and were kind enough to still cater us with a slightly changed taster menu of five courses (including dessert). Every dish was thoughtful, delicious and beautifully presented. Antonella was attentive, friendly and chatty, and it was really lovely to speak to her. We would definitely go back!

We had an amazing meal at Foxglove recently. Just love this place. Staff are really friendly and dogs are made VERY welcome too. Highly recommended, well worth our 5 hour round trip and we'll definitely be back. The food is all vegan but the 2 tables closest to us, the people were non-vegan and loving the food. 5*

What a vegan gem! Nestled in beautiful Barmouth. From start to finish Antonella was incredibly attentive and informative about the wonderful menu and foraged delights on offer. The food was amazing! Textures, flavours and seasonal produce all meticulously planned and considered. And to finish a wonderful after dinner conversation with Antonella, super chef, lovely next door neighbour and dog Axel. Overall an excellent evening.
